The United States was a trailblazer on many things. No other country had a democratic government. No other country had a constitution. Finally, no other country had set, basic freedoms for all of their citizens. The US had the first bill of rights.

This is a transcript of the original Bill of Rights. This document contains the original 10 Amendments and secures so many of our basic American Freedoms. The huge picture is a link. The document has been transcribed and translated to modern English for the reader's convenience. The actual document is very faded and uses some super odd punctuation.
