La Fe Prepratory School & the PROBAR Lab:
The research team of Dr. Ana Schwartz's PROBAR Lab volunteers at the La Fe Prepratory School's afterschool program. They provide bilingual enrichment activities to support bilingual language use. This is a result of the work of UTEP's Center for Community Engagement.
La Nube STEAM Discover Center & the Children's Learning Project:
The research team of Dr. Chris Potter, Dr. Carla Contemori, and Dr. Elisabeth Baker's Children's Learning Project has partnered with the local La Nube STEAM Discover Center. This team works with families visiting the museum to investigate how kids learn to read and understand and use sentences. Read more about it here.
Collaborations with EPISD
Bilingualism Matters @ El Paso and EPISD have teamed up to deliver the Borderland Biliteracy Family Project. This project has Bilingualism-Matters-affiliated faculty present research on biliteracy to families at the local schools in El Paso County.
