Early Career Research Award

Received DST Early Career Research Award from SERB, Govt of India (2016)

Award given by DST SERB based on research proposals to faculty under 35 years of age.

National Embedded Security Challenge winner

Team consisting of Dr Bijoy Jose and his doctoral students Akhil P and Gisha C G won first place at the annual National Embedded Security challenge during Cyber Security Awareness Week held at IIT Kanpur in 2018. Teams from IIT KGP and IIT Kanpur came second and third.

Team consisting of doctoral students Deepa Mathew, Akhil P, Gisha C G and Ajai J C won second place for the same event at IIT Kanpur during Cyber Security Awareness week in 2019.

The contest will have research teams across india submit the cyber security experiments to qualify for the final stage. An embedded security challenge is given to all teams to solve and the teams are adjudged on the merit of their implemented solution, which is demonstrated during CSAW event.

IEEE Awards

Dr Bijoy A Jose has won the follow awards at IEEE

  • IEEE Asia Pacific Humanitarian Technology Activities Outstanding Volunteer award 2020: Presented to an individual for technology activities for humanitarian cause each year in IEEE Asia Pacific region.

  • IEEE Kerala Section Outstanding Humanitarian Volunteer Award 2019: Presented to an individual for Humanitarian service activities in Kerala region each year.

Best Paper Awards

  • IEEE VDAT Conference Design contest 2020: Design by students Ajish Zacharias and Gisha C. G. was placed second with cash prize in 24th edition held at IIT Bhuvaneswar.

  • Best Paper Award: At the 7th International IEEE Conference on Smart Computing and Communication, Curtin University, Malaysia, 2019.

  • Best Paper Award: 15th IEEE/ACM Asia South Pacific Design Automation Conference, Taiwan, 2010. Our paper about simulating event driven systems using NVIDIA CUDA code on a GPU device was selected as the best paper for IEEE ASP-DAC conference in 2010.

Intel Corporation Awards

  • Intel Group Recognition Award: For Outstanding performance results obtained for Jellybean on Clover trail Tablet devices.

  • Intel Divisional Recognition Award: For identifying a hardware issue in mobile computing device, Q4 2011.

  • Intel Divisional Recognition Award: For fixing a loop snoop detection bug in mobile device, Q1 2012.

  • Intel Department Award: For compiler optimizations to improve performance of Motorola Razr-i Android phone with Intel chip inside

Outstanding Graduate Student

  • Outstanding Graduate Student 2006– Awarded to the best outgoing student in each department in a batch based on GPA and overall performance at State University of New York at New Paltz, USA.
