Dr Bijoy A Jose is an Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Science in Cochin University of Science and Technology. He has received his B.Tech. from School of Engineering CUSAT and his M.S. from State University of NewYork. He received his Ph.D. from Virginia Tech in 2011 and worked at Intel Corporation in California for a few years before joining academia. He has received Early Career Research Award from Department of Science and Technology, Gov. of India in 2016. He is principal investigator to multiple funded projects from DST, IEEE and CII. His research team focuses on various topics such as Embedded Systems, Cyber Security, Internet of Things, Virtualization, Machine Learning, Video and Image processing, etc. He is a senior member of IEEE and was the secretary of IEEE Kerala Section in 2022.

Biography 

Dr. Bijoy Antony Jose is an Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Science in Cochin University of Science and Technology. He has received his B.Tech. from School of Engineering CUSAT (2004) and briefly worked for CTS Chennai. He took his M.S. from State University of NewYork (2006) and worked as an intern at IBM New York during this time. He joined as research assistant at Virginia Tech with Dr Sandeep Shukla (currently IIT Kanpur) in 2007. He was an intern for 1.5 years with Intel Corporation at their Urbana Champaign (2009) and Folsom (2010) sites. He received his Ph.D. from Virginia Tech in 2011 and joined Intel Corporation as SoC Performance Engineer in California. In 2014, he returned back to India as Software Architect at Intel Bangalore. 


In 2015, he joined as Assistant Professor at the Department of Electronics and moved to Department of Computer Science as Associate Professor in 2021. He has received Early Career Research Award from Department of Science and Technology, Gov. of India in 2016. He is principal investigator to multiple funded projects from DST, IEEE and CII. He is a consultant to Pumex Infotech, Technology cell of KITCO, Qrio Technologies and many more. His consulting work with Vuelogix Technologies yielded the first grant under Prime Ministers Fellowship Scheme for Doctoral Research for an institution in Kerala. His research team focuses on various topics such as Embedded Systems, Cyber Security, Internet of Things, Virtualization, Machine Learning, Video and Image processing, etc. He is a senior member of IEEE.
