On Thursday, June 7, we will host a Pre-summit Networking and Poster-Session Reception from 5pm to 7pm, at Teachers College, Columbia University. Please indicate in your registration your intentions to attend this pre-summit networking reception and whether you would like to present a poster.

The Summit on Friday, June 8, will consist of a set of engaging speakers and panels in the morning and then transition to an interactive afternoon workshop where participants will network and collaborate around the central issues of defining the research, training and capacity-building questions that are central to the field to engage schools, districts, and education system leaders in evidence-based improvement cycles informed by data analytics, data science, and big data practices drawn from the big data for social good domains.

Education Leadership Data Analytics (ELDA) is the emerging domain of research, practice, and policy in education that focuses on bringing together three broad domains at the intersection of 1) Education Leadership, 2) Evidence Based Improvement Cycles, and 3) Data Science. The Education Leadership Data Analytics Summit at Teachers College, Columbia University is designed to bring together education and research leaders and innovators working at the intersections of individual overlaps of two or three of these three circles in the Venn diagram. The ELDA Summit is designed to bring participants together across a wide variety of fields in education who work collaboratively with or within schools and districts, know how to facilitate and lead capacity building conversations with educators using evidence and data to build trust and collaboration, and work with data through code, analytics, data mining and machine learning, and statistics.
