LEADER REQUIREMENTS
Want to become a leader or committee member?
Leaders for the Pack must be related to a scout in the Pack.
Leaders for the Troop must be related to a scout in the Troop.
Fill out an adult application, found online here or ask for a physical application.
Read, understand, and sign the Adult Scouting Code of Conduct
Have a current Safeguarding Youth Protection Training certificate - Register for the online Safeguarding Youth Protection course https://my.scouting.org/ How to instructions found here
Complete AB 506 Mandated Reporter Training for Volunteers, save certificate. Step by Step here.
Sign background authorization form. See Step 4 here.
Complete a Live Scan background check specific for Scouts BSA. See Step 5 & 6 here.
Big Bear Sheriff's Station does live scan by appt only on Thursdays.
