RESPONSE:
One of my favorite books is Dale Carnegie’s “How to Win Friends and Influence People”. I was afforded another opportunity to study it for LDRS 670 - Leadership and Personal Development. While I really like this book, this time was a little different as we were required to select specific topics and then to create short video presentations. Find all four of my sections here: Section 1, Section 2, Section 3, and Section 4 (these are short 2-3 minute videos).
In the same LDRS 670 course, we were assigned an exercise in which we were asked to think about our past, present, and future across four subjects of our choosing. I chose fatherhood, scouting, education, and work. Resulting in my All About Me presentation.
The first Literature Review I wrote was for the MGMT 301 - Management Principles course. I focused on the use of scrum methodology outside of software development. I explored various academic articles covering the origins of Agile methodology and applications of Agile beyond software development. The articles are mostly in agreement as to the foundational principles and definitions of Agile methodology, while contemplating the effectiveness of applying the tools and techniques to different industries. I look at the flexibility of Agile methodologies while discussing multiple successes in the implementation of specific Agile frameworks, such as Scrum, in a variety of scenarios.
