Our purpose is to create learning opportunities through formative situations about the world of Media co-working with teachers and students in and out of the classroom.
In order to contribute to teens’ inclusion in a society dominated by technologies and the media this project aims to equip students with some basic knowledge for their creative and informed use. Students and teachers will have the chance to use different ICT tools, (computers, Internet, apps..), create different types of programmes (reviews, documentaries, weather forecast, interviews, ...) write and talk about a wide range of subjects (films, books, sport, health, national and international news, food, cartoons…) related to school and the community. Pupils are expected to engage in activities that promote collaborative learning enhancing pupils’ English writing, speaking and presentation skills. Pupils will learn about Jobs and activities related to Media; enhance Visual and Media Literacy: understand Traditional Media and New Media; get more aware of ‘Fake’, ‘Information Disorder’ concepts; discuss Censorship vs Freedom of speech: What is it? Is there still any form of banning? They’ll develop self-directed learning, social, civic and cultural competences, communication, creativity, and are expected to raise awareness on a number of topics.
