Ben Hodge performs his first live one-man stage show exploring themes of gender expression and trans masculinity in relation to growing up in a world where his own transgender identity was sought out through Yorkie bars, Closer Magazine and an Emo Fringe
It's a Boy? Was first performed at Glasgow Comedy Festival before making its way to Brighton Fringe Festival (where it won the Brighton and Hove Pride Bursary) and the Edinburgh Fringe. The show was met with rave reviews and sell-out audiences, and went on to achieve a successful sold-out tour before retiring in Manchester in May 2024.Â
