Orchestra overview

There are three orchestras at Brookline High:

• Concert Orchestra PA2400

• String Orchestra PA2500

• Advanced Chamber Orchestra PA2600

Orchestra students are the heart of the thriving musical community at BHS. The BHS Orchestras explore a range of repertoire spanning Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Contemporary and non-European traditions. Orchestra students perform in concerts, festivals and school productions throughout the year. There are performance opportunities for instrumental solos, chamber ensembles, and student composers or arrangers. Students will develop individual proficiency, music literacy and ensemble skills through the rehearsal and performance process. Team building and mutual support are emphasized.
Seating placement auditions are held in early September.
