About BHRP

The BHRP Network was founded by Olajumoke Awosemo and Catherine Taylor, two dedicated HR professionals based in the North West of the UK. They realised that there was a lack of opportunities to connect with other Black HR Professionals particularly outside of London.

We are a vibrant community of Black HR  professionals dedicated to advancing excellence in the field of Human Resources. Our mission is to empower, connect, and uplift Black HR professionals of all genders across industries and geographies in the UK.

We envision a future where Black HR professionals thrive, lead, and drive positive change within organizations. Through collaboration, education, and mentorship, we aim to create a supportive ecosystem that fosters growth, equity, and representation.

Can anyone join?

Yes, we don’t discriminate. We operate much like a women's rights organization. While men are welcomed, the focus will remain on the advancement of women and their issues. The same applies with us. We welcome all people and need all the support to shrink the progression gap and provide greater access for Black HR professionals.
