Andrew M. Peterson, PharmD, PhD, is Professor of Pharmacy at the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, Saint Joseph’s University, Philadelphia, PA. Prior to that, he served as the Executive Director of the Substance Use Disorders Institute (SUDI) and Professor of Clinical Pharmacy and Health Policy at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. He previously served as Dean of the Mayes College of Healthcare Business and Policy at USciences. Dr. Peterson also served as the co-director of the Office of Teaching and Learning at Saint Joseph's University.
Highly regarded in the fields of Pharmacy Management and Health Policy, Dr. Peterson has more than 30 years of research experience in medication compliance, health outcomes research, health and drug use policy, and substance use disorders. His accomplishments are wide-ranging: he has produced a large body of research and scholarly work, created innovative programming, and secured over half a million dollars in grants to produce educational videos geared toward pharmacists, educating them about substance use disorders (SUD) and the stigma associated with SUD. Dr. Peterson speaks at conferences around the world on issues related to pharmacy and health policy and is known for his commitment to mentoring others and fostering success; recognitions include several awards for excellence in teaching and for learning innovation. He is also a Certified Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) instructor.
Active in the academic and research communities, Dr. Peterson has served on the boards of many organizations and is engaged in several professional organizations including the Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association and the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research. He is also a member of Phi Beta Lambda Business Honor Society and the Phi Lambda Sigma Pharmacy Leadership Society.
Dr. Peterson earned his BS in Pharmacy from Rutgers University, his PharmD from Virginia Commonwealth University, and his PhD in Health Policy at USciences. He also completed an advanced residency in hospital pharmacy administration at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and a residency in hospital pharmacy practice at Rush-Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago. He lives in Ventnor City, NJ.
Dr. Fadeyibi received her doctorate in Pharmacy from Temple University [TUSP] in 2008, and her Master's in Public Health from Drexel University's School of Public Health in 2016. She enjoys using both of her backgrounds in her current role as the Director of Pharmacy Initiatives within the city of Philadelphia's Behavioral Health System. As a previous member of one of Mayor Kenney’s subcommittees for Philadelphia's Opioid Task force, she promotes health policies & practices that enhance access to Medication Assisted Treatment & Naloxone. At Community Behavioral Health, she leads collaborative efforts with the Network Behavioral Health providers and stakeholders such as the City’s Child Welfare Agency to improve medication adherence & enhance the appropriate use of Psychotropics in Philadelphia's Medicaid population.
As a complement to her pharmacy and public health expertise, Dr. Fadeyibi has a passion for mentoring pharmacy & public health trainees and advocating for innovative roles for Pharmacists, especially in Behavioral Health. In addition to leading an internship program for pharmacy students for nearly 6 years, she also co-founded the Behavioral Health Pharmacy Advocates movement, with a mission to establish an impactful, profitable, and replicable model whereby community pharmacies are viable linkage points and hubs for behavioral health treatment and public health resources for millions of Americans dealing with untreated behavioral health conditions.
Dr. Fadeyibi can be best described as a multi-passionate servant-leader and her desire to uplift others permeates all of life as she authored her first book in 2019, Worthy! A Devotional Coloring book penned to infuse hope in women – and has in 2024 founded a 501c3 organization, Oaks of Hope International, with a mission to curate creative and uplifting tools and programming to serve girls and women around the world in pits of hopelessness, especially those in the throes of domestic violence, homelessness and human trafficking.
