Service is one of the four pillars of NHS and is essential to maintaining membership in our chapter. Each semester, members are required to complete 10 service hours: 5 NHS-sponsored hours and 5 non-sponsored hours.
Sponsored Hours are events organized or promoted by NHS. These opportunities will always be posted on this website or sent out in an email from an NHS officer.
Non-Sponsored Hours are service opportunities you pursue outside of NHS. While these may overlap with the school’s general community service requirement, the same hours cannot be counted for both.
To receive credit, members must fill out the service form accurately and meaningfully. Failure to meet the required hours may result in probation. Stay involved, give back, and make your service hours count!
