Honestly, I was never really a sports person. I used to think — why waste your energy running around a field when you could do something more productive? Sports never felt like my thing.
But things changed when I got the opportunity to represent the Department of English, Maharaja Krishnakumarsinhji Bhavnagar University, in the Inter-Collegiate Volleyball Competition 2025 and the Inter-Departmental Cricket Match 2025. What started as just showing up for the team slowly turned into something I genuinely enjoyed. Being on the field with my teammates, pushing through challenges together, and giving our best despite the odds — it changed my perspective completely. I realised that sports are not just about winning or physical strength. They teach you things that no classroom can — how to stay calm under pressure, how to trust your team, and how to keep going even when the situation is not in your favour.
Looking back, I am glad I stepped out of my comfort zone. These experiences have quietly shaped me into a more resilient and open-minded person.
