I’m Charitha, PhD student at the Computational Neuroscience lab, IIT Madras. In academic pursuits, I work on modeling the Basal ganglia and its role in Parkinson's disease. My work focuses specifically on the cognitive aspects of Parkinson’s disease and the impact of deep brain stimulation on the cognitive performance of Parkinson’s patients. Outside of my research, I find solace in traveling and exploring new places. I'm thrilled to be part of this dynamic lab community and eager to collaborate with fellow researchers with similar lines of interest. Feel free to reach out if you want to discuss anything related to my work.
Aditya S is a PhD Student in the CNS Lab. He finished his M.Tech in Biotechnology from Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati and B. Tech in Biotechnology from SASTRA deemed to be University. He is currently working on understanding the brain systems involved in locomotion, especially how it is affected over the course of Parkinson's disease. In his free time, he likes to play chess, and read books.
Sandeep is a PhD student in the CNS Lab. Sandeep finished his M.Tech in Communications Engineering and Signal Processing from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham and B.E. in Electronics and Telecommunications from Pune University. He is currently working on simulating and testing the therapeutic solutions for the Parkinson's disease in the basal ganglia behavioral model. His research interests lie in understanding the communications happening inside the brain and various pathologies of the human brain and try modeling the same, in order to work towards an optimal solution. His work aims to simulate the L-DOPA ON/OFF condition and integrate the action of therapeutic solutions at the biophysical level to a behavioral model. During his free time, he loves to be involved in different sports activities and traveling.
Vigneswaran is an MS student at CNS Lab. Currently, he is working on sequence generation and working memory models of Basal Ganglia. He likes to watch Test cricket and NBA, and loves to play outdoor sports.
Amey is currently a Masters (MS) Student at Computational Neuroscience Lab at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras. He is currently working on neurodegenerative disease propagation models. In his free time, he loves to travel and play chess.
Rutwik is a Project Associate at the CNS Lab. He holds an M.Sc. in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning from the University of Birmingham, UK, and a B.E. in Electronics and Communications from Basaveshwar Engineering College, Bagalkote.
He primarily focuses on developing end-to-end AI and analytics applications for Parkinson's diagnosis. Additionally, he is working on the development of the Mudrabharati App, a Bharati-based sign language recognition application for Indic scripts. His research interests include multi-modal, multi-agent systems, and developing customer-focused AI systems.
