Overview

BGW FIRM provides advocacy support to individuals and families impacted by child welfare, social services, and justice system involvement. Our work is grounded in family preservation, accountability, cultural respect, and long-term community well-being.

We recognize that systemic challenges often affect First Nations families across generations. Our advocacy seeks to reduce harm, support stability, and promote outcomes that keep families connected whenever it is safe and appropriate to do so.

1. Family Preservation and Child Welfare Advocacy

BGW FIRM advocates for families involved with child welfare and social service systems, with a focus on preventing unnecessary family separation and supporting timely reunification.

Advocacy support may include:
