In this assignment, students explored the idea of “place” as subject matter, considering how locations hold history, memory, and meaning. They were asked to think about how light, framing, and composition could communicate the mood they experience when physically present.
Students reflected on whether to include people or leave spaces empty, and how their description of light might shape the viewer’s emotional connection to the chosen location.
