With the help and preparation from our previous Exec Board, our sisters Abigail, Audrey, Laney, Mary, and Makenna got to travel to Minneapolis, Minnesota and attend National Convention for the first time in a long time! They also got to meet with Mu Delta and Hillsdale's chapter and take a picture with our Province. Way to represent Gamma Omicron, Ladies!

Rosebuds Bella, Sam, and Emma, with their Roseblossoms Aria, Annie, and Gracie at Formal Tea 9/12/2024.
Last Thursday marked the end of another exciting recruitment season for the Gamma Omicron Chapter. Our Formal Tea was a great success, thanks to the efforts of our VPM, Laney Mitchell. Our sisters had the pleasure of getting to know three potential new sisters, now "Rosebuds," who are each excited for the opportunity to join our chapter in the Spring! We also will be inviting Audrey Martin to join our chapter this semester! We wish Audrey the best of luck in her training this semester and send good vibes to all our Rosebuds and blossoms ♥️🌹
The sisters of Sigma Alpha Iota- Gamma Omicron are pleased to welcome Professor Pracht to their chapter as the new faculty advisor!
The faculty advisor acts as a consultant, listener, mediator, supporter, parliamentarian, role model, and teacher to the chapter, and our sisters were unanimous that Professor Pracht would fit this role perfectly!
Professor Pracht currently serves as the Assistant Professor of Voice at BGSU and is a student in the DMA in Contemporary Music program.
A mezzo-soprano, Pracht comes to BGSU with twenty years of professional singing experience in opera, recital, and oratorio performances. She champions contemporary opera and much of her recent professional activity is in this genre.
We offer many heartfelt thanks to Professor Pracht for stepping into this role and look forward to a long relationship of collaboration and mentorship ❤️🌹
A huge thank you to the sisters who helped make tie-blankets for our donation to the Wood County Humane Society!
Shelters cages can be cold and uncomfortable, but a cozy blanket can give pets a sense of warmth and comfort while they wait for their forever home. Many animals grow attached to their blankets and end up taking them home with them after being adopted, so shelters can always use more blankets for new arrivals!
Dr. Kruse has served as professor of violin at BGSU since 2000 and is now beginning a well-deserved retirement. An alumna of Sigma Alpha Iota, Dr. Kruse has led and inspired each of us for many years as our chapter's faculty advisor. We wish her all the best in her retirement!❤️🌹
You have all shown great dedication to our chapter and made it a better organization through your time in Gamma Omicron. You will be missed, but we can't wait to see all the wonderful and positive things you will do in the world with your futures ❤️🌹

Congratulations to Sarah Munson and Gracie Hayes for receiving the Sword of Honor! The description of the award as detailed by Nationals states: "The Sword of Honor, a tiny gold sword, is given to a member who has fulfilled all duties in each office she has held in an outstanding manner. She has shown strong leadership within the chapter and she has forwarded all the required reports of her office(s) to the province officer and/or appropriate national officer." Both of these women encapsulate strong leadership and what it means to be a Sister, congrats again! ❤️🌹
Our sisters recently had our pictures taken by the talented Brian Bushong (check him out on Instagram and Facebook!). These turned out gorgeous and we are so excited to share them with you! We present the 2023-2024 Gamma Omicron Chapter!

A group of our sisters visited the Miami House in Troy, OH to bring some music to the residents in recovery from addiction. During the visit, we held a ukulele mini class and led sing-alongs. Thank you for having us! ❤️🌹
Massive congratulations to our graduating senior, Katie Philips! Katie entered the Chapter of Gamma Omicron in Spring of 2017. During her time in GO, she has served as the Treasurer and Vice President of Ritual. She recently completed her student teaching at Lakota Elementary, where she implemented the Mindfulness in Times of Stress Curriculum with her young students (how COOL!!). Now, Katie is graduating with a Bachelor's of Music in Music Education with a specialization in General Music. After graduation, Katie plans to travel and work temporarily in Hawaii for the remainder of the winter and then look for teaching positions in Ohio for the fall.
Massive thank you to all of our amazing sponsors for supporting our donation to The Cocoon this holiday season! We were able to donate $134 worth of materials to support the amazing women of the Cocoon. We are proud of our contribution and hope to continue our work within the Bowling Green Community upon our return in the Spring.
Shout out to Brooke Harvey and the Service Committee for all their hard work in organizing this project.
