WHAT'S COMING UP

NEWS FROM THE LADIES CAPTAIN

Dear Ladies,

I hope you have all been able to take advantage of all the recent good weather, even if it has been a bit chilly, and had some enjoyable rounds of golf.

I’m sure you have noticed that a number of the Red ‘Tees of the Day’ have been placed on the Blue tee boxes. This hasn’t as a few of you have suggested been done to ‘dumb down’ the course for the winter, but purely to protect the Red tee boxes during the winter months. These will be rotated over the coming weeks and will always be on the Red tee boxes when the qualifiers start again. I know a number of you are not happy about it, but I hope we can live with it for a few weeks so we can all benefit from much better grass growth when conditions improve.

In addition to the February dates below, I would just like to bring to your attention to the Seniors v Ladies match on Thursday 3rd March. This will revert to the original format with the Ladies taking on the Seniors in Foursomes. The entry fee will be £12.50 including lunch which will be the traditional Fish and Chips. Sign up for this will be opened on 10th February and I encourage as many of you as possible to sign up for this fun event.

We are introducing a new online Summer Eclectic competition from 1st March but available for sign up now. Part of the entry fee of £5 for this will go towards my charity and there will be special prizes for the 1st and 2nd places in both Divisions.

The All Club Stableford on Thursday 17th February is in a roll up format, just sign up on the day to play at any time off whichever colour tees you prefer. This is open to ladies, men, seniors and juniors alike.

For the Bridge players, just a reminder that my Charity Bridge Drive with lunch is on Wednesday 16th March and the sign up sheet is on the notice board outside the Office. All are welcome.

You may remember from the AGM that we were planning to hold a Question Time session for you to ask the Ladies’ Committee anything you would like more information on, or have concerns about. The first one of these will be on 8th February after the competition. Howard will also be joining us. We see this as a two way communication opportunity and hope you will find it useful.

Finally, a huge thank you to all those who have brought in their postage stamps to the Canine Partners collection, the response has been brilliant.

THURSDAY ROLL UPS

Thursday roll ups are going well. A great opportunity to meet up and mix after all these months of restrictions.

Meet in the bar; a member of the Ladies Committee will be there to coordinate and make sure everyone gets a game.

Timing will be confirmed each week via WhatsApp.
