Try your hand at a simple origami bunny!

Origami is the Japanese art of paper folding. The term "origami" originates from two Japanese words, oru which means "to fold," and kami, meaning "paper."

Paper was first brought to Japan by monks in the year 500 A.D. Back then, paper was not very common and only available to a few people. In those times, origami was only created for special ceremonies, which were often religious.

As years passed and paper was easier and cheaper to produce, it was more readily available to the masses. Beginning in the early 1600s, origami was not only for ceremonial purposes, but was also created just for fun.
