Kolam Series 2

Kolam is traditional street art in Tamilnadu and the southern states in India. Typically house wives will sweep and tamp the ground outside the front door before sunrise and sunset. They they draw these traditional designs using rice powder. During celebrations they are drawn larger, more grand, and filled with color. They are drawn by hand by allowing the powder to dribble through the fingers and sometimes combining with a rolling stencil. They are also called Rangolis in the rest of the country. Here the designs are not necessarily traditional but they are definitely original.

Kolam Series 2 builds on Series 1 by including a corner design
