Q: What is your reason for beginning this non-profit organization?

A: At this time we are not a non-profit organization, but however a community organization, and we believe the issues of mental health are highly overlooked in today's modern day when compared to physical health. We created this organization in order to shed light on the commonly overlooked aspects of mental health and to educate the community on the severity of the issue.

Q: How do you plan on aiding the community?

A: We are releasing at least one article a week in order to educate the community on common issues of mental health, along with creating a series of volunteering opportunities where volunteers can try and brighten the day of individuals, such as senior citizens, patients in hospitals, and hospital staff, by sending them cards and letters.

Q: Are you still accepting applications for leadership positions?

A: At this time, we got a full staff, but to stay updated for future openings refer to our website or our social media pages.

Q: Can I choose one volunteering opportunity now and switch later on?

A: You can indeed change how you would like to contribute. We know this may not have been an option when you applied, but now you can go back in and check off both boxes if you want to apply for both positions, or if you change your mind again down the road, feel free to contact us or fill out the form again.

Q: When will the listed volunteering programs begin?

A: We have not determined a certain date, but staying updated will aid the community on our event dates.

Q: Would the cards be for patients or hospital workers?

A: We are planning to give cards for both and pen pals to patients and people in nursing homes.

What’s the difference between the website and the Beyond Medicine app?

The app presents you with our latest updates at just a click of a button, you can chat with a live agent in real-time, and it allows for a more convenient overall experience to get the information you want, faster. These are just a few of the many features we have exclusive on the app and we plan on adding a lot more in the near future!

Why isn't the app in the App Store/Play Store?

The application is just in beta stages at the time, so we are holding off on uploading them to the stores. We don't have a set date in mind at this time on when to upload it, but we'll be sure to let you know when we do!

Why does the App require an internet connection?

In order to reduce the size of the app itself, we have made the majority of the features that are accessed in the app, only accessible through the web, therefore an internet connection is necessary.

When downloading on Android it gives the message "Google Drive can't scan this file for viruses."

That's only because the application is larger than 25 MB (the limit for Google's virus scan). We assure you there is nothing attached to this application that could harm your device; please feel free to contact us if you want re-assurance.

When downloading on iOS it says "Untrusted Enterprise Developer."

That's because in order to download this application, another profile needs to be installed on this device. Please watch this short video to download the application on iOS devices. As long as you don't delete the application, you only have to trust the profile once, so for future updates this additional step wont be necessary!

How do I download the app on an Android device?

To download the application on Android devices, just click on "Beyond Medicine for Android!" then"Download anyway" and once the application has downloaded it will prompt you with a button saying "install now."
