How it works
Beyond the Classroom encourages active participation from educators who are passionate about improving their teaching practices and helping others do the same. Here’s how you can get involved:
Share Your Resources and Ideas: If you’ve developed a lesson plan, activity, or teaching strategy that worked well in your classroom, share it with the community. Your contributions will not only help other educators but also allow you to earn PD hours for your efforts.
Engage Thoughtfully: Participate by posting ideas, providing feedback, or contributing to discussions on educational topics that matter to you. Thoughtful engagement is key, and it’s what earns you recognition and PD hours through the district.
Learn and Implement: Explore the wide range of resources available, from lesson plans to classroom management techniques, all shared by fellow educators. You can adapt these resources to fit your needs, or simply draw inspiration from the experiences of others.
Earn PD Hours: Your meaningful contributions to Beyond the Classroom—whether through shared resources or active participation—are awarded PD hours through the district (SBISD). This is your chance to enhance your skills while helping to grow a supportive and innovative community.
