1. Introduction
Beybi ("we", "our", or "the app") is a baby and family photo app that lets you create personalized images and videos from your photos using AI. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how we handle sensitive data, including **face data**.
By using the app, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
---
## 2. Data We Collect
- **Photos you choose:** When you use the "Add image" or camera feature to create content, you select a photo from your device. That photo may contain faces (e.g. your child or family). We do not collect or upload photos unless you explicitly choose one and tap "Generate" (or equivalent).
- **Account and usage data:** If you sign in or make in-app purchases, we and our service providers (e.g. RevenueCat, Firebase) may collect identifiers, purchase history, and usage analytics as described in their policies and below.
- **Device and technical data:** We may collect device type, OS, and similar technical data for stability and analytics (e.g. via Firebase).
We do not collect face data separately from the photo. "Face data" in this policy means **the photo you select that may contain faces** — we do not extract or store facial biometrics (e.g. face templates) ourselves.
---
## 3. How We Use Your Data
- **To provide the service:** Your chosen photo (which may contain faces) is used only to generate the personalized image or video you requested (e.g. applying a template or style).
- **To process payments and restore purchases:** We use RevenueCat and the platform (Apple/Google) to handle subscriptions and in-app purchases.
- **To improve the app:** We may use aggregated, non-personal analytics (e.g. Firebase) for crashes and usage; we do not use your photos or face data for marketing or advertising.

## 4. Face and Facial Data (Required disclosure)
This section answers app store questions about face data in one place. **Where in the privacy policy:** Section 4 (this section). **Quotable text for reviewers** is provided in quotes below.
### 4.1 What face data does the app collect?
> "The app does not collect face data as a separate category. When you choose to create content, you select a photo from your device (camera or gallery). That photo may contain faces (e.g. of your baby or family). The app sends that photo only to our AI processing provider (Replicate) for the purpose of generating the image or video you requested. We do not extract, store, or retain facial biometric identifiers (e.g. face templates or faceprints) on our own systems."
So: we "collect" face data only in the sense that **the photo you voluntarily submit may contain faces**; that photo is then used solely for the generation you requested.
### 4.2 Complete explanation of all planned uses of collected face data
> "The only planned use of the photo (and any face data therein) is: (1) to send it to our AI processing partner (Replicate) so they can run the chosen AI model (e.g. image or video generation) on it; (2) to show you the generated result inside the app and, if you choose, save or share it. We do not use your photos or face data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than providing the generation feature you requested."
### 4.3 Will face data be shared with third parties? Where is it stored?
> "Yes. The photo you select (which may contain faces) is sent to **Replicate** (https://replicate.com), our AI processing provider, so they can run the generation model. Replicate may use subprocessors or infrastructure (e.g. cloud providers) to process the request. We do not sell your photos or face data. Storage: the image is transmitted to Replicate’s systems for processing; we do not permanently store your original photo on our servers. You can review Replicate’s privacy policy at https://replicate.com/privacy for their retention and storage practices."
So: **third party = Replicate** (and their infrastructure). **Where stored = Replicate’s systems** for processing; we do not store the original photo long-term on our own servers.
### 4.4 How long is face data retained?
> "We do not retain your original photo (or face data) on our servers after the generation request is completed. Replicate may retain inputs and outputs temporarily for operational or legal reasons as described in their privacy policy; we do not control their retention period. Within the app, we only store references (e.g. URLs of generated results) or locally saved outputs if you save to your device; we do not retain the original face-containing photo on our backend."
So: **we do not retain face data on our side**; retention of the submitted image is governed by **Replicate’s policy**.
### 4.5 Where in the privacy policy is face data explained?
> "The app’s collection, use, disclosure, sharing, and retention of face data are explained in **Section 4 (Face and Facial Data)** of this privacy policy. Subsections 4.1–4.4 contain the specific text regarding what face data we collect, how we use it, that we share it with Replicate for processing, where it is stored, and how long it is retained."
### 4.6 Quoted text from the privacy policy concerning face data
You may provide reviewers with the following exact quotes from **Section 4**:
- **What we collect:**
- **Use:**
- **Sharing and storage:**
"The photo you select (which may contain faces) is sent to Replicate (https://replicate.com), our AI processing provider. We do not sell your photos or face data. The image is transmitted to Replicate’s systems for processing; we do not permanently store your original photo on our servers."
- **Retention:**
"We do not retain your original photo (or face data) on our servers after the generation request is completed. Replicate may retain inputs and outputs temporarily as described in their privacy policy; we do not control their retention period."

## 5. Other Third Parties
- **RevenueCat:** In-app purchases and subscription status; see RevenueCat’s privacy policy.
- **Firebase (Google):** Analytics and crash reporting; see Google’s privacy policy.
- **Apple / Google:** For in-app purchases and platform services, their respective privacy policies apply.
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only as needed to provide the service (e.g. Replicate for AI generation, RevenueCat for purchases).
---
## 6. Your Rights and Choices
- You can choose not to use the generation feature, in which case no photo (and no face data) is sent.
- You can delete the app and any locally saved content from your device.
- For in-app purchases, use the platform’s (Apple/Google) restore and cancellation options.
- If you are in the EEA/UK, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing; contact us at developer.cey@gmail.com.
---
## 7. Children’s Privacy
The app may be used by parents to create content featuring children. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 for their own accounts. If you believe we have collected a child’s data, contact us and we will delete it as required by law.
---
## 8. Security and International Transfer
We use industry-standard measures to protect data in transit (e.g. HTTPS). Processing may occur in countries outside your residence; by using the app you consent to such transfer where applicable.
---
## 9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
