A week-long talk series & design challenge promoting innovation, leadership, entrepreneurship, and action for a better future by bringing together people who inspire us to encourage the MIT community to stand up, get involved and bring their ideas to the world.
Between February 18-24, we plan to bring together innovators from various disciplines to discuss the journey of an idea from conception to production.
BetterMIT is the birthplace of great ideas, but it doesn't have to be the end! We encourage our participants to pursue ideas they believe in. The top ranking teams from Sunday's semi final judging round will win $300, $150, and $75 respectively. Other awards and opportunities include...
Honorable Mentions - Can present their ideas at the College of Computing Expo Tuesday Feb 26th.
Semi-Finalist - Pitch their ideas to Chancellor Barnhart, Vice Chancellor Waitz, and Dean Suzy Nelson.
Finalists - The best team in each category will receive a $1000 towards their project from our sponsors.
BetterMIT is a design challenge; we accept project entries in all shapes and forms and judge them based on the values to the left.
