Recommended Packing List
What to Bring:
· A minimum of two (2) Covid-19 compliant masks
· Hand sanitizer
· Sleeping bag (BFarm says or sheets and blanket but see below. Since we are camping it will be a sleeping bag)
· Water bottle
· Work shirts** (long-sleeve and short-sleeve shirts, no tank tops or cut-offs)
· Sturdy work pants, jeans or khakis** (Required for work sites: no shorts or sweatpants)
· Sturdy work shoes: Sneakers or work boots**
· Leisure/Comfortable clothes (no revealing clothing, tight shirts or spaghetti strap tank tops)
· A clean set of clothes for Church services (doesn’t have to be your Sunday best, but something clean and modest)
· Warm sweater or jacket (even in the summer mornings and evenings are chilly)
· Rain gear (jacket with hood if you have one)
· Modest swimsuit (we may take a dip at the end of the week). Water shoes or sandals or gym shoes for rocky bottom of river (if you choose)
· Slippers or indoor shoes (shoes worn outside are taken off at the door)
· Toiletries
· Modest pajamas (sleeping areas can be quite cool, so pack accordingly)
· Flashlight
· Insurance card in case of emergency
* Clothes should fit the season of your week here. It can be quite hot in the spring, summer, or fall, so please plan accordingly!
* You can check the weather for the week by looking up Alderson, WV
** We have extra shoes, shirts, and work pants at the farm for your use. However, they may not fit perfectly.
What NOT to bring:
• Bottled water or soda pop (our water is healthier for you and for our Earth)
• Watches, iPods, cell phones (except as we discussed), or other personal electronic devices (simplicity)
• Makeup, hair gel, hair dryers or curling irons (not necessary)
• Weapons of any kind, drugs, or alcohol
Optional:
• Pillow
• Digital camera (Highly recommended)
• Your favorite devotions and songs for prayer
• Musical instrument(s)
• Journal, bible, and/or a book to read
• A little spending money (Farm store, etc.)
• Snacks to share with all
• A bag for dirty laundry
• Frisbee, football, and things for other free-time activities
• Ear plugs (for light sleepers)

IDs
-Driver's License
- Vaccination Card (good idea to have your physical vaccine card, or a copy or saved in your phone)
at least 2 masks (See above) (N95 ,KF94, or KN95 if you have them)

Sleeping Equipment
-Lightweight sleeping bag or sleeping bag liner (see below). Bethlehem Farm provides the mattresses...single beds.
-Pillow if you choose (compact if possible)
-We are camping: Sleeping bag and pad, and tent. Note: We and other participants have extras. We will determine our group needs. Please let the coordinators know which equipment you will need.
Also bring a bowl or plate, silverware, cup and cloth napkin for camping and beverage of your choice.
Personal Items
-Toiletries Bag
-Towel
-Shampoo, body wash or soap
-Hair Brush
-Deodorant
-Toothbrush and toothpaste and dental floss
-Scissors, nail clippers, (or whatever you normally bring), tweezers (good for splinters and ticks)
Medical Items
-COVID test kits-in case of illness. You should already have taken 2 this week. Last one can be taken anytime on Friday (or early Sat. am)
-Personal prescriptions
-Basic meds (suggestions: Ibuprofen, Aspirin, Tylenol, Pepto-Bismol, Imodium AD, Benadryl)
-Antibiotic ointment and band-aids
-Vitamins if you take them
-Sunscreen (Your choice. For an environmentally conscious choice you may consider Badger which REI carries or any product that says it is reef safe and does not have oxybenzone or nano sized particles.)
-Insect repellent for mosquitos and ticks (Again, your choice. For an environmentally conscious choice you may consider something with Picaridin which has been reported to work as well as DEET without some of the harmful effects. But you may prefer a DEET product, especially if sensitive to Picaridin. Dick’s Sporting Goods carries Sawyer and Natrapel brands. You can also use a Permethrin product to spray your clothes. -Hydrocortisone cream
-Prescription Glasses/sunglasses or non prescription sunglasses (extra pair?)
-If contact lens wearer: Contacts, contact Lens solution and case

-Hat for painting and sun and possibly a bandana
-Work gloves if you have them and dust mask (if you have them)

Note: Since most of are not using our cell phones, please give your family/friends the emergency contact number 304-445-7143. You can change your voicemail to say if you need to reach me in the event of an emergency please call 304-445-7143. I would not say you are out of town for safety reasons.
For Day 1
-Wear team t-shirt (or over another shirt)
-Wear or pack pendant --you will receive these on Sat am
-Bring snacks/lunch for day 1 and day 2 and filled water bottle
-If possible, pack a separate small bag for the overnight to keep with you (toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, face wash items, change of underwear) (and clothes if you want to change)
