Bethesda is one of the congregations in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. As being members of the ELCA we believe we are called to serve our neighbors through Christ. We are called to do the work of God through our hands. "For us at the ELCA, this faith comes through the good news of Jesus Christ and gives us the freedom and the courage to wonder, discover and boldly participate in what God is up to in the world." (ELCA). At Bethesda we try to embody all of this through our work with missions in our community and missions within our church.
