Scouts BSA is open to any boy or girl age 11-17 years old; or who has completed the 5th grade; or who is at least 10 years old and has completed the Arrow of Light (in Cub Scouts). 

Troop 233 welcomes all boys, parents and leaders who wish to participate in our activities and support the values of Scouting. We do not discriminate against families or individuals based on race, religion, ethnicity, national origin or sexual orientation. Families in need of financial assistance are also welcome and should make inquiries.

Girls in the Bethesda area who are intersted in joining Scouting are encouraged to connect with Troop 4.

If you are ready to join now, please apply online by clicking here!  Note that in doing so, you will be charged a registration fee by the National Capital Area Council. In addition, the troop charges a small fee to cover troop-level expenses, such as awards and to upgrade equipment.  We encourage prospective Scouts and parents to visit before joining to ensure our troop is a good fit.
