About 20 women and some of their families came together to serve local foster families by sorting donated clothing into gender and sizes on a Tuesday afternoon and evening.  We sorted 115 bags of donations in preparation for their May yard sale, where they historically raise upwards of $10,000 to support their ministry!  Thank you to all who served at this event!

25 women met at Superior Diner (102 State Rd Emmaus, near the library) at 9am on Feb 11 and we had great fellowship time and food (with no clean up required!).  God bless our waitress Denise for handling separate checks for 25 ladies!  

Seven ladies met and began work on sewing about 50 hats that needed to be "finished" by sewing lace to the hem.  The hot chocolate was a great bonus treat after our hard work!

These summer hats are going to be prayed over, and a card stating that they are from Bethany and that we prayed over them will be added to the bag so that the recipient knows it's from us.  We'll donate them to "The Chemo Bag" which provides gift bags to patients at the infusion centers both for Lehigh Valley and St. Luke's.  

There will be an opportunity to pick up remaining kits that need to be sewn on Sunday Feb 26 after each service at the welcome desk.  Please return by March 19.  There are instructions, but the highlight is that you need to use a zigzag stitch so that it stretches - either hand sewing or a sewing machine will work!

We tried out three different ways to study the Bible.  The IN method, an online app, and the SOAP method.

About 25 women gathered for the day to worship, pray, and listen to the speakers from the IF:Gathering Conference.  You can still sign up to watch, the cost would be $30 but it would give you access until the end of 2023.  For more information and a link to purchase a ticket, see the link for IF:Gathering 2023 at the top of this page.

It's time for some spring cleaning!  Our topic this month was the spiritual discipline of simplicity - because living a simpler life gives you more time to focus on what's important, rather than the distractions.  We focused on both "cleaning out your closet" - because a simpler lifestyle means holding onto less "stuff" - and on "cleaning out your soul" - because just like we keep junk in the closet, we have a lot of junk keeping our soul from being as close to God as we'd like it to be.

We had a blast playing games and celebrating the moms and mentors in our lives!  This tea party was a hit with all ages, and we plan to have it again next year!

VBS was June 26-30 - we gave people the opportunity to pray around the Macungie Campus - for the kids, volunteers, parents and families, and for God to move in their lives.  We provided a guide for how to pray.  You can still find the link at the top of this page!

We made handmade encouragement cards to send to the missionaries that we support.  We also heard from Pastor Martha about what encouragement has meant to her in her ministry.

Join us for a special Potluck Brunch where the youth who went on a missions trip in July will share their experience in a panel discussion.  This is an opportunity to support our youth - the entire congregation is invited to attend.  Time is 10am-noon - one hour later than normal to allow our teenagers to sleep in a bit.
