Site Purpose

My goal is to provide resources to support my interpreting colleagues, those seeking to become interpreters and those in the community at large who want to know more about ASL.  

Communication can fail when interpreters lack the language, cultural awareness and professionalism to bridge it effectively.  Interpreting is a practice profession and there is often no black and white approach.  As you browse this site you'll find information related to interpreting and American Sign Language as part of an effort to encourage myself and others to strive for better: more information, greater knowledge and a fuller perspective -to better serve the people we meet everyday.
