The inaugural edition of the summer school "Biomaterials Development for Medical Devices: From Bench to Market" was successfully held at the University of Basilicata from June 12–14, 2024, with support from Rome Technopole.

Fifteen students from universities across Italy took part in three intensive days of lectures, poster sessions, social events, and collaborative group activities. Distinguished speakers from diverse backgrounds offered valuable insights into the challenges and innovations in developing biomaterials for biomedical applications.

All partners of the BESTDRESS project contributed to the success of the event—both as part of the organizing team and as lecturers—bringing their expertise and enthusiasm to every aspect of the program. 

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated and made this a truly memorable experience. As we close this first chapter, we look forward to seeing how the knowledge, ideas, and connections formed here will shape the future of biomaterials development
