The Berry Patch Community Garden at Andrews Farm (BPCG) is located at 5 Berry Patch Lane in East Falmouth, Massachusetts.
We established BPCG to offer plots to historically disadvantaged individuals from local indigenous communities where they will be able to garden side by side with Falmouth residents. It is intended to foster dialogue, build bridges and lasting relationships as plot holders exchange a wealth of botanical knowledge with each other while sharing community garden resources. Indigenous members will be able to support their cultural heritage, improve health, and reconnect with the land and gardening practices. Grant funds were raised to make this garden possible with the assistance of Praying Strong All Tribes House located in Mashpee, MA.
We have worked with help from individuals and organizations to clear the overgrown field by removing trees, removing roots, and laying out the fencing of the garden.
We are now in the midst of laying out the plots, paths, and irrigation lines. We expect gardeners can plant in their plots in early May!
We will offer garden plots of various sizes for annual rental. To join us in the garden, complete our Plot Request Form for a garden plot. See you there!
