I am an Associate professor of Economics (SECS-P01) at the University of Rome La Sapienza, Department of Political Sciences. I previously was an Associate Professor in Public Economics (SECS-P03) at the University of Rome Tor Vergata and taught at the University of Bristol (UK).  My main research interests are in Microeconomics, at the intersection of Public Economics and Industrial Organization, with a special focus on competition economics, antitrust, market design, and incentives with specific applications to public procurement, economics of regulation, health contracting, and environment.

I have published articles in the Journal of Public Economics, Journal of Economics & Management Strategy, BE Journal of Economic Analysis and Policy, Manchester School, Bulletin of Economic Research, Journal of Analytical and Institutional Economics, Economics Bulletin, and Italian Economic Journal.

I have been appointed the National Scientific Qualification (Abilitazione Nazionale) to function as Full Professor in the scientific sector 13/A3 (Public Economics-Scienza delle Finanze).

I am an expert consultant in public procurement at the Italian National School of Administration (SNA), Presidency of the Council of Ministers. I have advised regional and national governmental bodies, including the Italian Minister of the Interior, the National Anti-Corruption Authority, the Italian Court of Audit, the Italian National Fire Corps, the National Police Department, as well as private companies.
