As of 2022, the BHS Boys are placed in LHSAA's Division I classification and play in District 1. Other District 1 Teams include, C.E. Byrd, Captain Shreve, Airline and Southwood.
With only three (3) Senior players, the 2022-2023 campaign can best be described as "Up and Down" between the December slate of opponents and January district play. The boys had a strong showing at the 2023 COPA Acadiana Tournament held at Lafayette's Moore Park complex. They finished with a 2-1-0 tournament record in the top Boys division. Their only loss was to the defending Division I state champions Catholic of Baton Rouge. However, injuries started to mount which dramatically depleted the team's depth and experience. Unfortunately, the team exited the first round of the LHSAA Div. I playoffs with a 0-3 loss to Sulphur in Lake Charles.

As of 2021, the BHS Boys are placed in LHSAA's Division II classification and play in District 1 within this Division. Other District 1 Teams include, Caddo Magnet, Haughton, Huntington, Minden, Northwood (Shreveport), and Parkway.
The 2021-2022 Boys Team continued their success on the pitch by delivering an undefeated District I record of 6-0-0 and claiming their third district championship. The Team earned a six-seed in the LHSAA Div II playoffs which gave them a bye and a home match-up against Lakeshore HS played at Bossier HS Stadium. They played well and routed Lakeshore 8-1 and moved on to play East Jefferson HS (Quarterfinal) at Joe Yenni Stadium in Metairie. The boys fell a little short and their season ended down south.

The 2020-2021 BHS Boys Soccer Team put together a historic season culminating in their participation in the LHSAA Div. II State Championship match against Holy Cross HS (New Orleans). A LHSAA Sate Finals appearance (2020-2021 State Runner-Up) is the farthest a Benton HS Boys Soccer Team has ever gone in the playoffs. Regarding Bossier Parish High Schools, it has been over twenty years since a boys team has made a State Finals appearance.

The 2019-2020 BHS Boys Soccer Team played well and provided fans with a respectable regular season record. The Boys made another run in the LHSAA playoffs . Their playoff run ended in the 2nd Round playing Bonnabel down at Joe Yenni Stadium (Metairie). Although it didn't end the way they wanted it to, this team set the table for the teams that followed it.

The 2018-2019 BHS Boys Soccer Team put together one of their best regular season campaigns since the inception of the program (10 years prior). The Boys made a deep run in the playoffs culminating in a LHSAA quarterfinal appearance at Bossier H.S. Stadium against eventual Div. II State Champion Holy Cross HS (New Orleans).

This season marked a new era in the BHS Boys Soccer Program. The team started to string together LHSAA Division II Playoff appearances. The Boys had a respectable regular season culminating in a home, second round playoff match against Woodlawn of Baton Rouge. It didn't end the way they wanted to but they laid a solid foundation for subsequent teams to build upon.
