Hey guys! I’m ScottiAnn Benton and I’ve been in Jasper County for most of my life. I’ve been married to my best friend, Matthew, since 2018. Although we've been friends since 2nd grade, we were well into college before Matthew finally asked me on our first date!

Matthew is the Quality Control Manager at Norton Packaging, and I’m so proud of the work he does there. It is WAY over my head most of the time! We both graduated from Jasper County High School in 2011. By 2015, I was right back there teaching chemistry and biology. For ten years, I had the privilege of serving students in the Jasper County Charter System.

In 2024, we welcomed our greatest blessing, our son Bear. As a family, we attend First Independent Methodist Church in Eatonton, where Matthew serves as a very anointed drummer and I help run the computer system during services.

On February 17th, 2023 Matthew and I found ourselves in the middle of the Asbury Revival and an anointed appointment. When we returned home, I used our local newspaper to tell our community about the fire that had been stirred in us and that revival was here!

On March 3rd, our local FCA ambassador and long time family friend, Jessi Stanley, reached out to me. She had read our article in the newspaper and asked if she could bring muffins to the school one morning and pray with me and a few of my teacher friends.

The Lord always has far more in store.

On the morning of March 17th, my lab tables turned into a giant cross covered in scripture, my SMART board was playing worship music, and ALL faculty/staff were encouraged to come by my room to have their bellies and spirits fed.

On May 5th, 2023, we had our first huddle at Jasper County Middle School. Over 50 students packed into my classroom to hear about JESUS and we left the room shouting HIS name!!

By the time the 2023-2024 school year started, we had grown to over 100 students and souls were being saved!

By the 2024-2025 school year, we could barely fit in the cafeteria with over 200 students. Students were no longer just coming to huddles, they were leading the worship, bringing the word, and coming to me with ideas for MORE.

Before I knew it, I was wanting MORE. Going from a packed cafeteria with kids praising The King, sharing The Gospel, pressing in, and RUNNING towards me for prayer and salvation changed me. I knew I could never go back to the way things were before. I knew I never wanted to.

On December 31st of 2024 we attended a New Year's Eve Service at our church. Pastor Jenn reminded me we were called to live a life that is better than we could ever dream or imagine.

Two days later, we were pulling into FCA Marriage Retreat. The Lake Oconee FCA Area Director, Jason McBay, and his wife, Traci, pulled in at the same time and asked if we might be able to sit down and talk at some point during the weekend.

That conversation was Him calling me to a life that was better than I could have ever dreamed or imagined.

On March 10th, 2025, I was in Kansas City for the FCA Bootcamp Training as prospective staff. God is good.
