My name is Benjamin Bauer. I am a 4th year PhD Student of Economics at George Mason University. I completed my undergraduate degree in Economics and Germanic Languages at Hillsdale College in 2022. I live in Oakton, VA with my wife, Rachel. 

My primary research interests are competition within religious markets and governance of religious institutions. I am also interested in topics such as the political economy of church and state, how the development of doctrine impacted economic outcomes, and legislative behavior.
