Ben Grodeck
I am a postdoctoral researcher at The University of Exeter working with with Oliver Hauser & Christian Hilbe.
I am also a Global Priorities fellow at the Forethought Foundation, and a member of the EPAC research group.
I completed my PhD in Economics at Monash University under the supervision of Erte Xiao, Lata Gangadharan, and Philip Grossman.
My research interests lie in Experimental and Behavioural Economics, with a focus on the motivations of altruistic behaviour (specifically charitable giving), cooperation, and how morality (as well as other psychological factors) impact decision making and market efficiency. I also have an interest in Experimental Philosophy, specifically in the areas of Ethics and Population Ethics.
