I am a PhD Student at the University Clinic of Dentistry at the Medical University of Vienna. Prior to this I studied Computer Science at the University of Saskatchewan, where I worked in Prof. Ian Stavness' lab.
My research focuses on the development of novel simulation approaches for the investigation of temporomandibular joint biomechanics. Since input data are of highest importance for simulation results, I am also interested in improving the quality of TMJ imaging. I am fascinated by the biomechanical workings of the human body as a whole and am keen on applying the computational methods we develop to various joint systems, like the shoulder or knee joint.
