Teaching

I am an Associate Instructor at Indiana University, for which I have been an instructor-of-record and recitation leader for several classes. These roles include:

• Instructor for J111 (Introduction to College Mathematics I) - Fall 2024

• Instructor for M125 (Precalculus) - Fall 2025

• Recitation Leader for M211 (Calculus I) - Fall 2023

• Recitation Leader for M106 (The Math of Decision and Beauty) - Summer 2024, Spring 2025, Spring 2026

In Summer 2025 I had the unique opportunity to be the instructor-of-record for M106 for IU's Groups Scholars Program. The Groups program provides academic and financial support to first-generation students and others who encounter socioeconomic obstacles in the pursuit of a college education. During the six-week course, I designed lectures suitable for the students' varied backgrounds and fostered opportunities out of the classroom to enhance their mathematical journeys.

Mentoring

• In Fall 2025 I ran a project for the IU Math department's Directed Reading Program. For this project, I guided a business and finance student through a study of functional analysis for him to apply to his economic academic pursuits.

• In Summer 2026 I am assisting Elijah Bodish with an REU in quantum algebra. The project is working towards building more diagrammatic descriptions for type B quantum groups using web categories.

Other Service

• In Spring 2026 I organized a graduate student reading group for an introduction to quantum mechanics for mathematicians. I hosted weekly meetings where we would discuss the readings and work together to resolve the problems we encountered during our studies.

• I am one of the organizers and mentors of the IU math department's Peer Mentoring Initiative (PMI). The PMI pairs senior graduate students with incoming students to create a welcoming environment and personal connection upon their arrival. On top of this pairing process, the PMI hosts welcome events for incoming students, virtual open houses for prospective students, and panels of professionals to advise students in their careers.
