Internal graffiti is fairly limited. Mostly numbers scrawled as calculations.
Contractors found the original valley gutters servicing the historic roof. The lead is still in situ, with marks showing it was hammered by hand. Unlike the Mansion's lead no graffiti were recorded
Obvious workplaces like the winch at the top of the stairs used for hauling grain up the stair well, are devoid of graffiti.
Figure 3 workman's graffiti in attic room - Andy Cap, a cartoon character who first appeared from 1957.
Figure 4 an original stone eared fire surround with new lime plastering. No apotropaic marks are recorded around the fireplaces.
