Serving with your Family and Friends
Monday Oct. 12, 2026 (School Holiday - Indigenous People's Day)
Please come and join us for another wonderful opportunity to serve our town! This year we continue the tradition of a town-wide food drive and will beautify outside spaces with invasive Japanese knotweed removal and cleaning up Pequossette park. This year's event has been co-sponsored by Belmont Conservation Volunteers & Belmont Food Pantry.
Food Pantry Drive Details
Thousands of empty bags are donated and flyers describing the food drive are stapled to the bags in advance of the Belmont Serves Day.
Come help staple flyers to the bags! It's a fun evening with lots of helping hands making light work. Tuesday, September 29th at 7pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 15 Ledgewood Place, Belmont, MA 02478 in the gym.
To help get all these bags out to the community to fill up, pick up a route on Tuesday, October 6th at 7pm back at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 15 Ledgewood Place, Belmont, MA 02478 in the gym.
On Belmont Serves Day, October 12th, teams will fan out across the town and pick up filled bags then bring them to a central sorting location where food will be prepared to go into the Belmont Food Pantry for distribution to those in need.
Youth Service Hours
Our Belmont High School students have community service requirement and this event is a great time to dedicate to getting some hours! Reach out to your school counselor for details on how to report your hours.
