INTRODUCTION
Welcome to the Belmont Bulletin! My name is José D. Martinez Jr, and I am proud to be the founder and first Editor-in-Chief of our school’s newspaper. The Belmont Bulletin was born from a vision to create a space where students could share their stories, voice their opinions, and stay informed about what’s happening in our community.
THE MISSION OF THE NEWSPAPER
Our mission is simple: to empower student voices and keep the Belmont Prep community informed, inspired, and impacted. We believe in the power of journalism to make change, create conversations, and show the stories that matter most to students.
REFLECTION ON THE FIRST YEAR
Starting this newspaper was not without its challenges, but every step of the way has been rewarding, especially since we didn't have a club to do this. However, I didn’t let that stop me; I built this website from scratch and started with an amazing team. Seeing students come together to write, photograph, and design for the Belmont Bulletin has shown me how powerful our voices can be when we work together.
A MESSAGE TO FUTURE EDITORS
To future Editors-in-Chief, I want to remind them that this newspaper is more than just a publication — it’s a platform for change and creativity. Keep pushing boundaries, keep sharing stories, and never ever underestimate the impact of your words, and never stop fighting.
