Case Status Applicants receive a case number after submitting N-400 form. This link can be used to see their status.
Processing Time At "Field Office" choose "Detroit," then click on "Field Office Processing Times" to the right, and it will display the date of N-400 forms being processed. This gives people an idea of the time frame between mailing the N-400 and going to Detroit for their test. This time varies from as low as 4 months up to 11 months.
