CTE Graphic Production Technology
A message from the teacher:
Hello, my name is Mrs. Becerra and I have taught Graphic Production Technology (9-12) and Graphics (7-8) at Bellflower High/Middle School for 24 wonderful years.
I attended California State University Fullerton (BA Graphic Design) and Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. Before my career in Education I worked as a professional Graphic Artist in Industry. My responsibilities were designing Technical Manuals for Yamaha Motor Sports, ads for local newspapers and printing shops. I also worked 10 years for Rockwell International's Art Department designing work for NASA, Space Shuttle Program, designing Public Relations Brochures, Posters, Flight Patches and STS Launch Publications.
In my class you will explore new skills that are Fun & Informative for students just starting Graphic Design. You will discover how learning the Creative Process of Design will help you to create great projects. Everything you touch daily required a Graphic Artist to design it, from soda cans, cereal box's, chip bags, food packaging, publications, books, pizza box's, comics and even pet food.
Graphic Production Technology supports Career Readiness, or "what you need to know and what skills you will need" to help make you Employable in Industry & the Business World.
