The Bella Vista Fly Tyers Club is a fishing, conservation, and service Club consisting of approximately 150 members. This group of men and women share a common interest in fishing (both warm and cold-water species) found in the local streams and lakes of Bella Vista.
The 501c-3 Non-Profit Club also promotes lake conservation, recreational activities, and conducts service projects throughout NW Arkansas.
The Club meets every Thursday at united lutheran church in Bella Vista, beginning at 9 am for a social hour followed by a meeting from 10 to 11 am. United Lutheran Church 100 Cooper Road, Bella Vista AR
THE PURPOSE AND FUNCTIONS OF the Fly Tyers Club is to engage in the promotion and educational programs pertaining to conservation and preservation of wildlife of all kinds and species, including educational programs pertaining to all types of fishing methods and skills. We also have social events such as Fishing tournaments, Picnics, Potlucks, and much more. Come and join us on thursdays for coffee, cookies, guest speakers and big fish stories. The Bella Vista fly tying club is pleased to sponsor fly tying classes for beginners and advanced students classes are held during fall and winter months from September 15, 2025 till Spring (TBA)
A basic fly tying tool kit is sold for a very nominal fee as well as hooks and thread fly tying classes are held in front of a live audience consisting of men and women and lately a couple of youngsters have joined their grandparents in the art of learning to tie flies.
The instructors who have many years of experience in the art of fly tying. Spend endless hours preparing for the classes which are held on Mondays at 9:00am for beginners and 10:00am for advanced tyers. A YouTube channel was published and videos were then posted to the BVFT Fly Tying Tutorials (click here) channel.

Dave Barfield generously donated a 2 hr. fly casting lesson certificate in Charity Fore Golf Event .
Dave donated the certificate, and it was purchased by the sister of the man in the picture with Dave. That donation went to him
as a gift for Christmas. Here is what his sister said:

Wanted to let you know Dave B. did such a great job with his fly casting session with my brother.
They met at Lake Ann Friday morning, they hit it off well and my brother learned a lot and had a great time.
Thank you for all you and your group do for Bella Vista."
