As leaders and role models for the school, chapter members ought to exemplify the highest standards of behavior, leadership, good character, and service. Members especially uphold academic integrity, not only refraining from but also helping others avoid cheating. Members found violating any standards face possible probations or dismissal.
All members are expected to attend our monthly meetings, which are held the first Wednesday of every month during Cardinal Hour.
*Members must notify Ms. Camarillo and Maisie Moncrief about schedule conflicts via email at least 48 hours in advance.
All members must meet the following service requirements each semester to maintain good standing in the chapter.
Minimum of 10 hours of service
Participate in at least two chapter sanctioned events*
Service events that are sanctioned will have a minimum of 10 volunteer slots unless listed otherwise (i.e. personal project)
Minimum of one hour of NHS tutoring that does not count toward sanctioned events requirement
Service hours will be deducted for violations regarding campus and/or chapter expectations. In addition, failure to show up for or cancellations less than 48 hours before a scheduled project will result in service hour deductions.

GPA Requirements
Members must achieve and maintain a 3.75 Unweighted GPA or higher
*Unweighted GPAs are only records of business if sourced by the school’s registrar directly
Dues - $20 / year
$20 dues are collected from each member on an annual basis. These funds are used to cover induction, t- shirts, socials, graduation regalia, commemorative tokens for scholarship recipients, etc. One of the advisers and our chapter's treasurer keep an open-record system and are committed to budget transparency. During a first semester chapter meeting, the current membership is presented with an overview of the previous year's budget allocations. Members in good standing may request a 1 on 1 meeting with the adviser charged with finances and/or our chapter treasurer at any point in the school year to discuss chapter funds.
For the 2025-26 school year, please note that in-person, exact change payment of dues can be made on the following dates:
Wednesday, 08/27/25 - during the NHS meeting in the auditorium
Wednesday 09/03/25 - during both halves of Cardinal Hour in Ms. Camarillo's room (2705)
