Fraternal

My graduate pieces 'Fraternal' are based on the relationship between myself and my twin sister. The shapes are inspired by how twins sit in the womb, and the colours are each of our favourite colours. I wanted these pieces to represent how we think as well as us as people, which is the premise behind the fused glass that makes up the other half of the shape. I myself am autistic, so the pattern in my piece (purple) is very structured and orgainsed, where as my twins' piece is a lot freer when looking at the pattern. This is to symbolise that even though people think that we may look alike, upon closer inspection the smaller details that make up the most interesting part of the work is completely different.
