Tech In The Classroom

In the classroom, I enjoy giving students a choice in their learning. One thing I try to instill is that they are in charge of their own learning. Choice boards are a great way to help students learn independence, learn about themselves as learners and become advocates for their learning.

Our classroom has been fortunate to learn from Sea Turtle, Inc. They are an organization that rehabilitates and cares for sea turtles in the Gulf of Mexico from South Padre Island. We have learned about the life cycle of a sea turtle, mollusks and participated in a dissection of a squid.

During our classroom study of our solar system, students chose a celestial body to focus on. They created a visual presentation and presented it to our hybrid class.

Students created a Winter Wonderland using AR MAKR. Students used preloaded images to create their scenes and added animations to make them come alive.
