As part of my current degree, and as a team of 3, we were asked to create a learning module to help other teachers learn to implement a Technology Framework to encourage teachers to use technology as an integrated part of their classroom experiences. The images below are an example of the Framework Module in Google Classroom. If you would like to review the class more in depth, please email me a request at belen.barajas@gmail.com
As part of a graduate course, I have created videos and different graphics to share with peers about my journey with blended learning and what it looks like in the classroom.
This a teaching model review of Station Rotations as part of blended learning. I describe the model in detail, it's positive attributes and benefits it can bring to the classroom. In addition, we discuss how technology can be incorporated into the classroom using the model.
This infographic is about the Hybrid Learning Environment. This is one topic that I have been trying to learn more about as I begin to incorporate it into my classroom. Each element is interactive and meant to give more information about a specific component of the Hybrid Learning Environment.
Signature 2 Assessment: Emerging Technology Analysis
This Assessment is a literature review of Emerging Technology in the Present and Future. This paper specifically reviews two apps that are unique in their purpose and that I have been able to experience in my own classroom.
In this paper, I discuss the origins and history of Augmented Realities. The app I reviewed is AR MAKR and gave a brief demonstration video. The second topic is the history and origins of digital simulations. The technology I review is PHET simulations and a demo video is provided as well.
Signature 3 Assessment: Op-Ed Paper
This assignment was completed in the style of an Op-Ed Response. Its purpose was to provide a contradicting perspective on the opinion that education and how the new ways of teaching and new learning environments are worse than traditional ones.
In my response, I compare new learning to the innovation of the Industrial Revolution and the recent event of the Ever Given cargo ship that was stuck in the Suez Canal.
Signature 6 Assessment: Article Response
This paper is a response to an article by Helen C. Barrett and Nathan Garrett titled Online personal learning environments: structuring electronic portfolios for lifelong and life-wide learning.
My response includes a brief summary of the article, how it connects to my educational experience, and how the article connects to our present-day world. This article also helps set up the reason for the creation of this website for myself and my educational and professional journey as an educator.
