About the "Links" in Neurobehavioral Analysis Links:
Link means a circle, bond, or connection, and the plural Links evokes the image of a network from the combination of these. In addition, the singular form of Golf Links in golf courses brings to mind the vast, well-maintained, rolling green land, forests, and blue skies along the coast.

In 2011, the first research base to be established here was the Central Institute for Experimental Animals (founded in 1952) (Note 1). Since then, dozens of research institutes, including the Kawasaki City Environmental Research Institute and the National Institute of Health Sciences, have gathered here. KING stands for Kanagawa INnovation Gateway, and is named after the location, Tonomachi, Kawasaki Ward, Kawasaki City.
In March 2022, the Tamagawa Sky Bridge connecting this area to Haneda Airport was opened. This added further substance to the skyfront, which represents an image of a point of contact with the world. We hope that many excellent research projects will be disseminated to the world from here in the future.

Note 1: Many of the author's research activities were conducted at this institute. From April 1, 2024, the name of the institute was changed to Central Institute for Experimental Medicine and Life Science (CIEM).
